Whole System Cost Improvement Programme Case Study

The Challenge

As part of a whole system redesign commission, MIAA Solutions accelerated the impact of the cost improvement programme. We supported with subject matter expertise and developed a bespoke governance process, ensuring clear delivery plans were in place to achieve in-year impactful change. Thematic workstreams and associated sub projects were established to ensure regular performance management, reporting of delivery progress and benefit realisation. 

The Approach 

As the lead delivery partner, MIAA committed to being proactive in identifying of Cost Improvement Programme opportunities. A constant focus in the delivery was to:

  • sign post opportunities;
  • assist in the assessment and management of potential delivery risks;
  • maintain a consistent focus on the trajectory of CIP delivery to meet the financial return on investment required to achieve the financial budget.

This achievement was made possible through our understanding of the organisation’s service needs, our local knowledge and the nurturing of trusted relationships.

Stakeholder engagement has been sustained as a crucial aspect of defining detailed projects to deliver the change and transformation opportunities. MIAA Solutions is now established as a trusted delivery partner across diverse range of stakeholders (Executives, Clinical and Non -Clinical). 

During 2023/24 MIAA has continued to support the client across a wide range of programmes, including the development of business cases prioritising service transformation and integration.
