MIAA shortlisted for best innovation in the training and development in the Chartered IIA Awards

We are proud to have been shortlisted in the Chartered IIA Awards for the best innovation in the training and development category for our three development programmes.

MIAA is a learning organisation, and we pride ourselves on the significant opportunities for our people to grow, develop and succeed, recognised through our Gold Investors in People accreditation.

We understand the need to grow our talent for the future and invest in our local economies so some years ago we introduced an internship programme in conjunction with Liverpool John Moores University and Manchester Metropolitan University.  Alongside this we also created a graduate entry route to internal audit through the NHS Annex 21 Training Contract.  The developments have supported MIAA to create new opportunities and talent within the internal audit teams.

Our leadership development programme is designed for aspiring and new leaders, it is a practical development programme grounded in tested leadership theory. MIAA believe that if staff learn together and share ideas across teams and functions, we will become better at what we do. The programme builds on our values of Trust, Courage and Agility and creates distributed leadership across MIAA.

The Leadership Development programme has assisted MIAA to invest in our future leaders and ensure that they have the right skills and leadership foundations to grow our internal audit business and create a credible and professional workforce that is fit for the future.
