MIAA is proud to celebrate a major milestone — 25 years of continuous Investors in People (IIP) accreditation. This achievement reflects a long-standing commitment to creating an organisation where people feel supported, valued and empowered to grow.

Adding to this achievement, MIAA has also been awarded IIP Gold accreditation twice consecutively in 10 years — a level reached by only a small number of public sector and NHS organisations. This recognition demonstrates not just that we have the right policies in place, but that our people bring them to life every day. From our Managing Director to our finance apprentice, everyone plays a role in shaping our culture.

A milestone built on people

This milestone belongs to every colleague — past and present — who has contributed to shaping MIAA into the organisation it is today. Their dedication, insight and commitment to continuous improvement have been central to our journey.

Growing talent and building the future

MIAA has a strong track record of investing in the workforce of today — and tomorrow. Our long‑standing internship programme, delivered in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University and Manchester Metropolitan University, continues to develop future talent while supporting local economies. Many interns have gone on to build their careers within MIAA and across the wider NHS.

Alongside this, we have created a dedicated graduate entry route into internal audit through the NHS Annex 21 Training Contract, and we have established a leadership development programme for aspiring and new leaders — which is now also offered to clients to support wider system capability.
