Last night, at an auspicious event held at the House of Commons, MIAA Assurance Director, Louise Cobain was honoured with the HFMA Key Contributor Award. This prestigious recognition highlights the significant support Louise has provided to the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) over the years.

A Well-Deserved Recognition
Louise’s recent contributions have been particularly impactful, including MIAA’s pivotal role in the rewrite of the HFMA Audit Committee Handbook and participation in the subsequent podcast and supporting publications. Reflecting on this achievement, Louise shared, “We were able to get the views of our audit committees, experienced NEDs, and some of those new to the role and new to the NHS.” This collaborative approach was instrumental in developing the new content, ensuring it was comprehensive and relevant.
