MIAA is proud to be presented with a Cheshire & Merseyside Social Value Award

We are proud to announce that MIAA has been presented with a Cheshire and Merseyside Social Value Award in recognition of its Anchor Institution status across Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Social Care Partnership.

Anchor institutions are large organisations that have a significant stake in their local area with assets that can be used to support their local community’s health and wellbeing and tackle health inequalities.

Health and care bodies acting as anchor institutions can have a positive impact on local communities by supporting the local economy and protecting the environment. Both these issues have the potential to improve the health of individuals and communities.

Both the NHS Long Term Plan and NHS People Plan outlined ambitions for the NHS to create new opportunities within the health sector by expanding apprenticeships, and working more closely with schools, colleges and universities.

MIAA’s Managing Director, Chris Harrop said: “I’m proud that MIAA has achieved Social Value Accreditation in Cheshire & Merseyside, this is one of the key areas that we serve, and we have a key interest in supporting its organisations and communities to prosper.

“I firmly believe in the power of Social Value as a crucial commitment to sustainability, goods business practices, and positive social impact. Our work with local schools and universities is testament to this and I look forward to our impact continuing to grow over the coming years.”
