Tony has worked within the NHS for 30 years and is responsible for identifying and overseeing the development and delivery of solutions which meet the digital assurance and advisory needs of MIAA’s clients.

Tony brings expertise across all aspects of digital, from information governance assurance, through more technical security assignments to strategic development assignments with health informatics services. He has developed a full cyber capability within MIAA, delivering penetration testing, application testing, phishing exercises and incident response services including digital forensics.

His involvement at national and regional level including NHS Digital and the Cheshire and Merseyside Cyber Resilience Group, is testament to the expertise and insight he brings. He has also co-authored a number of national guidance documents including the NHS Information Security Code of Practice and the IG Toolkit Audit Guides, and is a regular speaker at local and national events on information governance and cyber security.

Outside of work Tony is Chair at the City of Liverpool College; one of the largest further education establishments in the country and is a Director of Shared Education Ltd, a back office service provider to further education.

He is married with a young daughter and spends most of his free time as a taxi service!
