MIAA Awarded Fair Employment Charter Aspiring Status

The Liverpool City Region Fair Employment Charter celebrates good employers and aims to improve standards for fairer employment practices.

Liverpool City Region Mayor, Steve Rotherham, has established a Fair Employment Charter for Liverpool City Region, which celebrates fair employment practices where they are in place and drive-up standards elsewhere, recognising good quality and effective practice in fair employment.

He said: Our region has a long and proud history as a place that stands up for the greater good, we are always at the forefront of doing the right thing. I always like to say that where the Liverpool City Region leads, the rest of the country follows.

That is what our Fair Employment Charter is all about: making our region the fairest, most equitable place in the country to work or run a business in.

MIAA’s Managing Director, Chris Harrop said: “I’m proud that MIAA has achieved Fair Employment Charter Aspiring Status.

"MIAA, we strive to build a workplace culture where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential, driving our collective ambitions for positive social impact.

This accreditation, along with the Armed Forces Charter and mental health accreditations such as Mindful Employer and MIND Bronze, together with our IIP Gold accreditation, validate our dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace environment.
