MIAA Annual Review 2022/23

This short video summarises the achievements of MIAA in the past year.

The last year has seen a period of unprecedented change in all areas of public life, throughout the NHS and within MIAA.

We welcomed new members to our senior team; Gayle Wells, Executive Director of Operations, Keith Bowman, Executive Director of Solutions, and Ken Jones, Director of Delivery. With the new team in place, we refreshed our vision and values to renew our commitment to clients and staff. 

We aim to be the provider of choice for public and third sector organisations by delivering added value and improving outcomes. Our values: trust, Respect & Compassion, Commitment to Innovation & Excellence reflect the ethics of our business.

This year we expanded both our Annex 21 Trainee and Student Intern Programme and the second cohort graduated from our internal leadership programme for which we have been shortlisted for IIA Training & Development award. 

Our Digital Team have achieved excellence in informatics level 2 accreditation and the data analytics team all qualified as Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associates.

We have been lucky to have an AAT apprentice join our finance team We also attended local schools and colleges to talk about potential career options in NHS finance.

We are keen to continue to encourage people development across the sector, providing Insight into Internal Audit training to Skills Development Network, supporting One NHS Finance by leading workshops and providing coaching and leadership to the National Finance Talent Pool.

We have delivered a range of events including Collaborative Masterclass Programme which continues to provide high quality content to our clients and partners.

The year ahead sees further development of our coaching and leadership offers for both staff and clients and an exciting programme of leadership masterclasses.
