What have we learnt about mental health during the pandemic?
Date: Friday, March 05, 2021
Venue: online via Teams
This event is for everyone who wants to learn more about their own responses to the pandemic and how they can better support their own mental health and the mental health of those around them. Jake Mills will discuss his accidental journey that has taken him from a depressed and suicidal comedian to Chief Executive of national mental health charity, Chasing the Stigma and the founder of the Hub of Hope, a vital resource being used by mental health trusts and organisations throughout the UK. Discussing his lived experience, Jake will highlight the power of using times of adversity as building blocks for positive change.
Following the keynote, participants will be tasked to think about how they could approach their work differently, with the service user in mind. Looking at simple and effective steps they can use on a daily basis to make a difference to their own lived experience and the lived experience of others, participants will be encouraged to share their ideas and explore what solutions may be able to be introduced.
